700 555 4141 will be different depending upon who the long distance carrier is...ok-so 700 555 4141 gives global crossing ld company-all the equipment there (outbound call center) is super old . the computers are running dos. no joke.and at a quick glance it looks like an old school pbx hooked up to the server..
usually only works with POTS...
all 700-555-xxxx numbers that i have tried so far on optimum voice go to directory assistance
ooma reads back a recording "your call can not be completed at this time"
boost CDMA/sprint "the number or code you have dialed..."
vonage was using the 700 NPA for various features such as weather, etc... not sure if they are still doing that...
edited for typo..

I got that as well.i get a recording "we're sorry you can not use this feature to reach the number you are calling right now, please hang up now and try again later" did not hear anyone talking about any 858 area code, if it was in the background perhaps the radio my wife has on right now drowned it out..

It's possible they're still using steam-powered ADPCM announcements.

303-232-0035 a disconnected recording but sounds like electrical current in the background
303-651-0002 "The number 303-651-0002 is in service, please try your call again." This is not a typo - it screwed up saying it's 'in service' when it meant 'not in service'.
303-651-0003 voicemail greeting says, "This is Qwest Communications central office in Longmont Colorado."

i think that i probably have one of the best google voice numbers - 313-IH4X0RZ.. too bad its in some other area code (MI)
i should post the only voicemail that must have been a wrong number - since whoever called thought they hung up, and there is rotary pulses halfway thru the message, then ringing... so perhaps they switch hooked over to 3 way calling accidentally while leaving a voicemail...
