If I enter an invalid password, I get a disconnect recording from 4ESS 061T in Newark, NJ. Pretty weird! I think this is this the same voice from the Ameritech resporg on 800-337-4194.

Anyone have a good ANAC number that reads carrier class digit's? The windstar/AT&T/SBC one is fine, but really doesn't give out any info; no trunk, ANII class digits,ect.

I did a Google search, and found that it's a sound file used in Asterisk. It could be nothing, just to fool people, but not necessarily. Check telcodata.us to see who the carrier is.

Hum. So Tekstar just has this exchange, on a switch it shares with Qwest.

Same exchange and obviously CLEC as the PLA bridge number (218-339-8070.)

So I'm starting to wonder if this number might be some way of flagging phone numbers you don't want to be able to dial into this exchange. Might this be it?

Edit: scanned this 100 block, check scan a day thread. Found a ton of confs and a few other odd ball things.

Also, I found tekstar owns a few more exchanges.

Just thought I'd mention, those are all TRXTel confs. If you'd like to use them, go right ahead, but they're just Asterisk meet mes. Also, the person who maintains the asterisk machine didn't set the privacy bits up right, so just be aware that if you call and the conference happens to be assigned to somebody, your number will show up in their logs unless you divert.

Sorry if I'm like reviving dead matter here, but I called this.

That is a WEIRDASS REMOTE!!!

This is NOT a Gentner (now Burk) GSC3000. I'm the engineer at a station that uses one. When you call up a GSC3000, it immediately asks for passcode. On ours, that's 5 digits + # to get in to the main menu.

This one appears to give you a few seconds of audio from the transmitter room, then allow you to enter commands?! It certainly didn't take the commands that work for the Burk, such as 999 (disconnect) and 601-616* / #.

(6xx* - read back metering value on channel xx once. 6xx# - read three times.)

Hopefully, I didn't turn off their transmitter or anything while trying those Burk commands. I'd like to imagine it'd ask for a passcode before DOING ANYTHING.

It says 'kfhn' or 'kfhm' -- neither is licensed. Huh?

Ok, I found it. Here's a number for a Gentner GSC3000 transmitter. DO NOT ABUSE THIS!

Heck, just dial and listen. I wouldn't play around with this.

I think it's saying KSHN. Anyway, the command structure appears similar. Wait for four digits, and respond accordingly. They wouldn't be using an older firmware version with a different command set, would they? Also, how old are these things? They could've replaced it.

EDIT: Why would the transmitter room have a constant 2200 hz tone? I think that might be it's attempt first at a modem handshake.
