Here are some interesting numbers I've found while scanning this early morning.

1-800-683-6225 Dial 9, get a dial tone. Try sending other DTMFs
1-800-586-6225 Possibly a ringback, most likely a pager, haven't tried
1-800-888-9225 Short dial tone, seems to except extensions. Probably a PBX.
1-800-887-0225 Strange tone pattern
1-877-228-7393 Forwards to a switch in mexico, assumed by the ring. (Which sounds cool)

And finally, why not...
44-800-011-99XX This entire UK toll free range consists of sweep tones.

Short scan..

800-555-0062 " Enter the pin number you wish followed by the pound key?" I think its a gateway to SkyTel VMBs.

800-555-0063 No one answered this #. But it has a weird ring to it. Insteading or *RING*RING*RING its more like *RING-RING*RING-RING*RING-RING*. Pretty weird? Any one know why it rings like that?

1-800-223-7711 I got an error that said something like "The mobile satellite phone you have dialed is not in service". I get such shitty cell phone reception that I cant call it back right now and type exactly what it says, so I will leave it at that.

Sat phones are the phj33rness.

800-505-0001 - ATCC services' ANI digit identification service system.

Too bad it requires an authorization code...

Weird # I found while scanning. When calling it it reads back a bunch of letters then a line #. Then it prompts you to enter a test ANI, DNIS, & II digits. After that it prompts for a date format and time. Then says some thing about gerenic option 1. Then forwards to Bank of America!? Weird shit! The # is 800-555-1170. Check it out..

very strange. sounds like someone was making a test recording for multiple types of error messages, and decided to use it for this number.

aka....it sounds like he's reading a script.

This seems to be a test line for VoIP gateway, maybe a Mediant 2000.

When called, it responds with "next name:" (male voice) "BNKCA18" (female voice) "system:" (male voice) "141" (female voice) "line #:" (male voice) "x" (female voice), where x=is increased by 1 with each call.

You are then prompted for a test DNIS, II, date, time, and "generic option 1"

I think that this # tests the termination to a california call center for Bank of America credit cards.

This is speculation, but I think that the next name: BNKCA18 stands for: Bank, California, #18), and the system 141 refers to the gateway for the credit card center. The "generic option" is a 16 digit pin that if correctly entered, sends the call to customer service, and pulls up the customer's account information on the service associate's terminal. Otherwise it drops to the automated system to sign up for a credit card.

cool find.

Sounds like it's a Meridian VMS. Seems like only local calls can be placed only within K.C. and the burbs of K.C.
