I should have specified that the Teleport number is not a carrier, it's just the verification number, meaning that when you dial it, it tells you that the prefix is run by Teleport, what type of switch it is, and roughly where it is.

This thing could be or is at least very similar to something called a Sensaphone. After it reads the status report (temp, alarm conditions, etc.) it says "OK" and is awaiting input for some type of commands. Usually you can turn alarms on and off, change the room noise listening time, turn on/off the alarm sound, and a few other things. However, the commands I have written down for the Sensaphone 1104/1108 don't see to work with this unit. I dialed some numbers and it seems that someone was dialing back and then hung up on me... probably noticed that I was fooling around with it. heh.

1. i don't know it was more a warning than anything.

2. yes phonehog does let you make intn'l calls it just uses your mins to connect then for each min your are connected it take more than one min for you call i.e. that phone number used 4 mins of my time but i was only on for 2 mins. and in cambodia when i was calling there i know that i have over 400 some odd mins and then i would call it would tell me that i had 17 mins for this call, which mean if i called a number and someone answered it would have paid over 383 mins for that call if i hung up right away!
