so im trying to convert my girlfriend to linux but she wants to use stickam...it uses an adobe based web cam stream. but i cant find if that is supported in nix. so help?
so stickam is lame

I believe that your problem is likely to be that you have a V4L2 webcam and Flash 9 does not natively support it. There is a project to get around this:

I know that Stickam works with Linux as the TLLTS guys have been using it, although I have not tried it myself.

yeah i read some stuff online about vl4 stuff but it didnt really go into detail. ill check those links out.
