could explain to me why the linux kernel has to be custom compiled just to allow network sharing/bridging when the windows kernel allows it by default. . + i guess if we could figure out the webpage/site would be good also.

Alright! Just one week away! I have talked to a few people from the U of M who seem to have an interest in coming so I hope the turnout will be better then last month Again, please bring a computer if you want to participate in the "hacker challenge". Afterwords I would like to go over how to solve the challenge as it would be a nice learning experience for some. Also, I know a few people I have talked to wanted to see a demo of ettercap and kismit. I know for some this may seem very basic but then again the roles can switch in an instant.

I had a lot of fun too! I'm glad it worked out for all of us this time. I was wondering if you guys could post a quick summery of some of the main things we talked about. I just think it would be nice to archive some of the topics we discussed. I am very interested in checking out some of the netbooks dinscurge was talking about. Also, if SigFlup could make a short tut on how to use bvi on my out.dd file that would be awesome! I forgot the syntax, all I remember is it has printf in it ;P

It's all good. It will force me to do some research of my own which is a good thing. I remember things better that way anyways.
Any suggestions on what you all want on the pbx? Do you want a section that just goes over briefly what we talked about for the month? Or a voice mail system? I have no idea what may be good. I know I have to make some new audio files. The ones that are up there now are no good.

As for as the voip calls go i think this service will work better than anything I can setup.

hmm.. you probably could have just got it to work by making the box be able to conf, then the box would just dial out/patch in the number to you/the silent box. also im too pores to make the circuit. o well i'll just make a detailed drawing/rough schematic of what it was going to be.
