Having owned this shitty belkin 4-port gateway/router for entirely too long, I'm finally in the market for something new. The one I have now disconnects all my machines when I attempt to port scan anything, which is a real hassle as it brings me back to square one...having to ditch the network and only hook up one machine directly to the cable modem if I want to scan. Belkin, naturally, had no idea what a port scan was...and I doubt CompUSA *shiver* will either. Can anyone recommend a good, reliable router for about $150 or less?

never had a problem (my friiend has one as well and has never complained) with my linksys router - i think I got it for around $80 at compusa or bestbuy
