Nice little introduction. nice to know I might get the old winavr to work under wine... the new one poops out wanting IE and there I just lose interest.

Got a cheat sheet made for Ubuntu if anyone wants it... well really.. it's 4 things to type to get a program compiled and burned to the stk500 kinda quick for ubuntu. Probably work for any linux... ain't got the makefile bit figured out yet, but working on it. just a matter of that 'ah-ha' moment.

I'm surprised he didn't mention the AVR-Butterfly... you can be coding from a serial port for under $25 bucks. And it has a LCD screen too. Many of the ports are tied up to that LCD display but there are a few open to do with as thou wilt.
