I run mandrake 9.2 with the regular kernel (2.4.22-10mdk) and I am trying to get the realtek 8180 driver installed for my dlink dwl-520 wireless network card.

I have had nothing but problems, I edited the make file and made a module, that worked, then I installed wireless tools (needed) and edited the wlanup script with the right parameters, but when I do it gives the error of "No known device: wlan0" and then gives a bunch of wireless tools errors. Anyone know how to fix this?

Are you positive it isn't the card? Realtek cards are like a sweet sweet woman to me with regards to linux (or any OS for that matter). Try swapping it into another box and seeing what happens.
