I'm currently playing a game called runescape, just intrested, but if any of you know what runescape is? I want to know why people say it's "unhackable" as it was hacked in the year of 06, something call the "fally massacre", why hasn't this game been hacked much before that?

The proxy thread is not for runescape, runescape is just a game I play an hour or so a week. I just had interest in why people weren't flying in it yet..

Because no one cares. Most MMO's are unhackable because GOOD MMOs deal with server side checks (read the patch notes for World of Warcraft 2.3, for example).
I played Runescape and I play WoW.

Basically this is what happens on GOOD MMO's (By all means for a Java based, server side MMO - Runescape is considered "good")


1.) You cast a fireball
2.) The client registers the button checks and makes sure that
1 - You are in range
2 - You have enough mana/regents

3.) The client says YAY or NAY to the server
4.) The server never trusts the client, so it performs it's own checks starting at step 1 and continuing in greater detail (THIS IS WHERE IT BECOMES UNHACKABLE)
5.) If the server suspects packet forgery (The numbers won't match up) it spits up and tells the admin
6.) You get banned


This all happens in milliseconds.

I'm mean? No I just expect people to be (or at least act) more mature when speaking to a person that has clearly done nothing to harm someone other then themselves. Saying something as "That guy is mean" is only half of the explanation, Am I truly mean? or am I just clearly responding to a post that was clearly intended to be offensive to me.

I have played WOW ... As much as my friends have enjoyed it, it was not for me. As " GAY " as people think it is, I play Quake. Not Quake Online, just Stand Alone Quake. I find it rather nice to login to my computer, and pretend that every enemy soldier I kill is my boss, or someone that has really bothered me that day. We all have our thing, and who is the next person to tell you anything otherwise ... They like facebook, you like WOW, they like Goat Porn, you like making fun of them, its all the same ...

As everybody else said, runescape is unhackable, but you can use bots to level up for you. I made several good bots for mining, wood cuting and some other stuff before i finaly stoped playing them. If i find them ill post them up.
EDIT: Try this site. And this is the ONLY way of "hacking runescape" Scar scripting.

Pardon my skepticism, but I try not to consider anything un-something-able. Ruling things out is a sure way to error. Surely, there must be a way to work the system, even if it's so crazy or impractical or otherwise uninviting that nobody in their right mind would try it. (That is, something besides the scripts you just linked to.) Seriously, how many things are mistakenly said to be unhackable, unbypassable, or something-proof, only to be debunked later? (Well, not many, but some; so you get the idea.)

Nothing is "un-hackable", it all depends on motivation and skill and mindset. Any ole' person who picked up the latest copy of "Hacking for Dummies" couldn't do it. Everything is harder then it seems. But I was once in you're situation with Runescape (personally I hate it now). Just do it the old fashion way for your hopes of becoming better. Answer to you're question, "no" it isn't "un-hackable".

And this is the ONLY way of "hacking runescape" Scar scripting.

SCAR scripting isn't hacking, its writing Pascal based programs and using a compiler called "Scar" to run them. Scar was designed by a person named Kaitnieks. ^ Just informing others ^

Ive been involved in the runescape cheating comunity for a while and we get alot of people coming onto sites saying "how do I do a UB3r hax on my account to get Ub3r lvls". Is it posible? yes. Is it easy? no. Do I know how to do it? no. Would sombody want to risk geting caught hacking into a server of a stupid game? no. So we refer to hacking runescape as using pascel scripts built for SCAR becuse its the easyest thing to do. Also if you do go scripting pick up a program called swiftscape and start a new account, becuse if you mess up you will get banned without a second thought. And Im not saying that R4p1d is one of these people, he was smart enought to ask if there were hacks for it in general.
