I have a Virgin Mobile Slice phone that I no longer use, and I was wondering if there would be any possible way of re-programming the phone to be of other uses such as maybe just being able to read text files, play music, access wireless internet (doubtful), use as a dial-up modem to send files, remote control, SOMETHING. Any ideas? What would I need to go about this? What programming language, etc.
Here is the link to the phone:

You could try searching around for someone who has previously modified the device.. but they are normally black boxes without any available technical specifications.
0) You could sell it.. buy yourself a cold glass of beer..
1) Carefully disassemble it and hope they didn't put black epoxy all over everything.. and take pictures
99.5% of all cellphones use ARM processors, so technically it's possible to compile code for the device.. unfortunately running unsigned code on the device will require skill and patience.
Google the text on any of the chips inside, perhaps you might get lucky.. it's doubtful though. (Perhaps a JTAG connector!).

there's no true way to hack the virgin Mobile Phones since they lock it down so much that if you do get to flash it the bios will be dead. Since they use some odd hardware
