Can anyone recommend a particular make/model of a decent 4 port hub which will be utilised for packet sniffing which are still available to buy. Ive checked out some online stores but they only appear to be selling switches these days.
Thanks!

I assume that since you know to ask for a hub for sniffing instead of a switch you've also looked into this.... but in case you haven't there's always ARP Spoofing to sniff around switches

Yeah i am familiar with arp spoofing but thanks anyways, i guess i am going to have to resort to purchasing a second hand one of ebay although the majority of them that are listed are infact switches.
Thanks anyways though guys!

You don't necessarily need a hub, you can send an arp packet telling everyone that you are the new gateway and monitor the traffic like that.

Or you can use a managed switch with 'port mirroring'.
