ok, i have the liveboot ophcrack..tried it on my XP..works super.
on to vista..Ophcrack boots to the bash 3.1 and gives the message. "No partition containing hashes found !!"
Ok....I'm a pretty big noob. so i might be way off here..
did some snooping to find the SAM and SAM.LOG files..the weren't in the main hda..the were in sda1.
does any of this make sense..would that location make it difficult for the initial attemp to locate?
is there any way i can steer it to find this info and load the ophcrack program..
anyone have any advice on what to do next..
your input is very much appreciated..

Well it went looking for hashes, and came back with crashes......
I kid!
I'm not sure if Vista stores login info in the same way as XP, remember Microsuck has been saying this is "The most secure Windows OS yet"
I know Ophcrack doesn't yet support Vista,so Maybe soon
