Outside of a laptop/PDA with GPS & Wifi.
What would you bring with you on a trip halfway across the nation for random hacking adventures??
I will be traveling from Concord, NH to Salina, Ks ..and will hit several Metro areas on the way, and I have never really done any travel hacks.

I can't give tips on flying trips as I no longer use airplanes, but if you're driving...A Good Camera, a Bluetooth Card, a cellphone jammer (if you got one or whatever), and a screwdriver/multi-tool (you never know). Oh...being a pay-phone junkie, plenty of quarters...

connsider getting yourself a leathermen with security bits. padlock shims and rope are also normally quite handy.

a one point I owned a swiss champ xlt that had a hexdriver with interchangable bits. sombody jacked it from me while I was in the hospital thoghconnsider getting yourself a leathermen with security bits. padlock shims and rope are also normally quite handy.

2. Cat 5 cable, cross-over cable.
3. serial cable db9 male to male, male to female cable.
4. all software you can take on a portable hard drive.
5. blank cd's
6. extra water, and snacks.
7. extra cash, cell phone charger.
probably some other good ones..
