You seem to come here wanting help getting started with.. just about everything. You usually already have some book that'll help you, but you still need help. Not surprisingly, none of these threads ever go anywhere because no one on these forums can give you the kind of help you'll need. There are special places with classrooms and teachers call "schools" that can help you with this.

That was the smartest sentence within this entire thread.

Seeing as you are 18, this shouldn't be too hard. You might even be able to find some sort of teacher online that would help you with Assembly; however, I doubt it would be free, for it seems that you want to get a complete step-by-step guide, one that is better then anything else. Don't come back at me with, "I don't want to pay", or "I can afford that", it doesn't help. If you don't want to pay, self teach yourself something.

I strongly suggest you get Jeff Duntemann's book, "Assembly Language Step-by-Step". I own it myself, and it beats the hell out of any ASM tutorial I've ever seen. Duntemann is a good author and explains things in a way that even an idiot could understand. Oh, and I've seen it on file sharing services, too...

I don't believe this AT ALL. You searched bittorrent? You Searched the entire gnutella network? Every Search engine? Damn, this has to be the first case of lack-of-information on the interweb....

Seriously, *I* just searched bittorrent and found some AWESOME books on ASM.....if you don't understand what they are talking about ..get a book on a more basic level..you obviously got some reading to do ;)

Giving you the benefit of the doubt I'll give you a free resource that I was told about. I'm currently in the process of reading it amoung other books but I've been told it's a good starting point though you really are going to need some understanding of C to understand it and use it. Unlike a lot of other books, this does touch on 32bit protected mode and uses nasm as the assembler. http://www.drpaulcarter.com/pcasm/

You realize that you're admitting to piracy right? It's not exactly the wisest thing to post on the forum.

i could care less cause if the government knew half the shit i did i would get life in prison shit if the cops knew what i have in my basement they would shoot first and ask questions later so i wouldn't have to worry about prison but thats life and i could care less. ohm and half the other people who read my posts already know im unhinged and screwed up in the head so piracy isn't that big of a deal

but i do have a question about piracy thats not pertaining to the subject but would like to know

why is they're no piracy laws in canada just wondering

and does any one have anygood links to online tutorials or better yet any ideas of how to phrase the search to get the best results and yes i have read the google posts and the books that were written just for that reason but as you so much like to joke about im a nitwit and would like to know if you would have thought of anythig that i haven't

Avatar, Dont take this as an attempt to flame you, its not. That being said, I have followed some of your recent posts on the forum and breifly looked at the pictures you just supplied. You have a LOT of material on programming, but you also mentioned that you have material for 5 or 6 languages. My advice to you is to stop trying to do everything. If you try to learn 5 or 6 languages at a time you are going to have problems understanding everything, every language is different with different syntax and applications. Now I have gone through a couple languages and at times the material got confusing, the best way around that is google and practice. So, Just take it one step at a time, if you want to learn assembly first focus on assembly, if you are confused by something I believe u mentioned EAX, google that one, you will find plenty of explainations of what it is. Good Luck

Check out 'Programming from the ground up' I found it to be quite a good starter book for asm. A word of warning though, asm is hard to get into, don't expect instant results. I would recommend you get the hang of something easier like ruby or even C before you even attempt it.
If you can't find it, PM me and I can send you a copy (no, it isn't illegal, it's available under the GNU Free Documentation License).

Maybe you just aren't cut out to be a programmer. It's not something everyone can do.
