if takes longer to reset itself to a dial tone after you hang up and let go of the toggle. also while it's resetting itself it makes a sound that reminds me of a rotary dial phone. it also does some interesting things like make odd noises after dialing and it also pumps out the quarter/dime/and nickel tones instead of blanking them out like other public acess phones tend to do. i do like it. it's an old "centurian" brown box phone that only has the number pad and a cradle for the headset.
it's kinda wild and i thought you guys would like to hear of such an oddity in this day and age of the millenium phone flooding the scene, and cellphones gripping the hearts and minds of most citizens B)

A payphone in my school does the same thing, with the rotary noises, and quarter tones and stuff, and when you dial a wrong number or do a ring back it takes about three mins to reset.
