Yes.. but can the security of the packages be trusted? I for one am going to check and see if the data from good mirrors or ones that can not be trusted.. looks nice however.

the md5 might check the file integrity, but if the file is trojanized, would it matter?
or does it md5 against the sums from an "official" site?

well, if the packages are corrupt in any way, wouldn't you get fux0red if you were to manualy download and update shit?! so i guess its the same risk...
