Given how YouTube has really been jumping the gun lately given their fear of copyright retribution, I wonder how easy it would be to make them take down popular legitimate videos. Perhaps something along the line of something upped by one of their sponsors?

I don't see how your video was infringing copyrights, as you weren't redistributing copyrighted materials. People don't need permission from Microsoft to make books that talk about Windows. Likewise here.
