anyways, you can just make a gateway with one of your computers by adding 3 nics to it.
wireless nic-----> laptop

then you need a wireless 802.11 pcmcia card for your lappy. last but not least you need 3 cat5 cables (not crossover). one going from the cable/dsl modem to the router and the other two from the router to the two pc's. using windows xp i don't think there's any settings to set except for the pcmcia card for which you might need to install the supplies drivers. check office depot, in my area they have a current deal where you can get a d-link 802.11 card for 29.95 after like 2 rebates...

ps. i want to avoid buying extra routers as i do not have money, can i do this with what i already have?

You can get this going by installing an 802.11 card in your gateway. Setup WiFi on both devices as Ad-Hoc and not Infrastructure and make sure SSID matches on both devices. Give the laptop an IP address on the same subnet as the rest of your computers and use the IP address of the ICS interface on the gateway computer as the Default Gateway.
