It's about time people realize this:

Even if that changed, Windows would still be an easier target. In its default setup, Windows XP on the Internet amounts to a car parked in a bad part of town, with the doors unlocked, the key in the ignition and a Post-It note on the dashboard saying, "Please don't steal this."

And it's about time that people realise it's built for usability not security, you can sacrifice the ease of use and get no users, or sacrifice security and get more users because ease of use... Although yes Windows could be built better people will not buy it if it's hard to use, so all I have to say to people is "old news" and "Use OpenBSD, then complain"

well, Mac OSX is user friendly AND secure(more than windows anyway).

why couldn't a OS be secure and easy to use at the same time?

No it is not, it is not targetted it suffers many UNIX attacks because it can emulate and run UNIX applications and it also suffers from Mac OS X specific exploits such as the attack against "The Blue Enviorment"

The sad thing is they do it and then say they are secure. Then when somone proves them wrong they bitch and complain that its the users fualt.. Then if somone wants to help or lets them know about something in advance, they act like its a honor to let you help them when in fact your doing them a huge favor.

Idiots, I hate microsft.
