I am new to hacking, but I am trying to learn as much as I can. I am reading tutorials that I got got from the "Grayhathackers" group at Yahoo Groups and I am learning Python. I hope to learn lots of things in this forum! B)

http header spoofing is fun... try:

 wget --header='User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030922 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1.'  http://www.danasoft.com/vipersig.jpg

with different things and see what you get...


also, does anyone else see a login popup when this thread is opened? it seems that there is a picure on this page called www.beyond-misery.com/hanky/dystopia.jpg and it is 401ing and giving me an annoying http login thingee. please fix it.

well, i was doing a little "directory transversal" on his site recently so maybe he tried to lock down the directory with a password. He didn't realize that it would affect his .sig file. So if you were locking it down because you saw me digging through your shizzat, good job in locking it up! Sorry to scare you. :(
