Should I? i figure that if i started saving now,
200ish / month * 6 = 1200$
thats if i do some freelance computer work, and dont use any of the work money. that could get me close enough to the 12inch ibook with dvd/cd-rw.
Should i buy and iBook?

ibook + os x = uber-sex
if you've got the funds (or are willing to save up for it) - go for it. just dont forget to factor in ALL The costs of buying it to make sure you can afford it (tax, more software, etc) - sorry if I sound like a parent - it's my econ class talking

I personally like the ibooks. I'm also a longtime fan of apple, so I'm sorta biased.
But if you think you want it go for it.

Sure go for it. I got a 12.1" combo model about a year ago and it's worked great.

I saw a story on “the register” UK a while ago (which I put on my links page), that if you are in education you can lease Apple ibooks/powerbooks and then buy them very cheaply at the end of the lease period.

Might be worth investigating if they are also offering that in the US.

if yours school's listed, and i think all schools usually are, u can con your school's admin to get u cheaper stuff. its 100 bucks cheaper on the iBook i want, so im gonna have to get that going.
