I love my Slackware box. If you have an extra computer then Knoppix is well worth it. Knoppix is the greatest rescue CD as well.

God how i love knoppix, Its almost shower material for me.
It's hip, its slick, and its one sweet rescue CD.
Knoppix is the shizzle, This i guarantee.
just one look, and you'll be hooked; its better than TV.

I used STD as a live distro a little when it came out, but now ive just transfered the STD tools to my main knoppix box ;)

Yes slackware is great. I also like Debian and FreeBSD....too bad there isn't a Linux distribution that combines all three...oh wait there is.

It's a cool distro. It gets a 2x coolness mod for being a bootable CD. However, the orinoco drivers in the current release are bad. Can't do wifi stuff.

I don't get people's obsession with Slackware. It is a distro that tries to be as much as Unix as possible, yes? Why not just use a Unix distro? They are better coded (more stable, etc). Am I missing something?
