new CPC payphones

I was walking around down by a Tim Hortons a couple blocks from my house, and I notcied this CPC payphone with a telephone jack in it. You know, the kind of jack that you would plug a phone into, like a wall jack. Anyways, there was this jack, right on the phone. I assume that it was a jack for a laptop, like for dialup internet, or something. has anyone ever seen this?
Can this jack be used as an extension?
And one more question that relates to the first question.
Has CPC fixed the COCOT line-seizing exploit on the new(er) CPC phones? Or do the new CPC phones jsut all disable the handset as well as the mouthpeice?
This gay CPC phone disables the keypad for all calls, even local calls. I dont know what the hell was the problem, but after I dialed I couldnt get the keypad to do anything. And the handset is disabled until someone picks up on the othe end, so forget calling you vms numbers!
Anyone else ever seen these phones?

wait until that pretty little voice stops talking and the phone (if your lucky ) will not sieze the line you then can dial any number with a tone dialer . i haven't had too much luck with this technique but apparently it does work with some of the shittier cocots . i'm pretty sure that you can't use pay phone data jacks as an extension , but i haven't tried so i don't really know. for the authoritative source on cpc and the unrestircted line exploit you should go to www.nettwerked.net
