I recently changed my desktop with the KDE desktop changer, but it turns out the other GUI was crappy and I don't know how to switch it back. I looked in all my manuals but couldn't find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you getting a display manager? A window that pops up and asks for your username and password? If so it's probably KDM and there is a drop-down menu for other windows managers available on your system.
