anybody ever run linux/unix/freebsd on a dell inspiron 2650 laptop? if so what distro and did you have to do anything extra in the way of getting your 56k modem to work?

You'll see what distributions people put on there inspiron 2650s as well as configuration stuff. I didn't see anything about getting the internal modem to work. You might have to end up getting a pcmcia modem if you want to use dialup

good question im gonna be buying a computer here soon... does anyone have a dual boot to linux/winx? hehe that would be tight..
