I use google, and am boycotting yahoo.
Here's why:

All political motivations aside I think that Google is a better search engine as well.

I use Google for searching (although Yahoo is certainly developing a much better engine) and Yahoo! for everything else. Google's personalized portal sucks compared to Yahoo's very ubiquitous offering.

I use both. Depending on what I'm using a search engine for, I'll usually use Google first. Then I'll use Yahoo! to compare the results and pick and choose from whatever I find.

I normally use google, however, this thread does not belong in Nubie HQ, it belongs in one of the offtopic forums. Pay better attention next time mmk? Thanks.

I use Google as my homepage. I just like the way that google looks. It is very simple and has everything you need right there. On Yahoo, it has to load, megabytes of garbage like advertising. I think that in my life on the internet I have used yahoo, less than 10 times.

I like Google better for searches, but with all of the tracking that Google is now doing, I am thinking about changing. I hate when companies start marketing more to me than just the Google ads.

Actually, it could easily go in either forum.

Google.

I mean, their Gmail just works for everything I need it to do while remaining unintrusive with advertisements and has a really slick interface.

The search page is much less crowded and noisy, I like it when people KISS.

I like Google for searching, but I don't really like their Gmail service too much. I've noticed sometimes incoming and outgoing mail never gets sent or received. Like sometimes I'll send people an email, and I ask them later if they received it, and they say they didn't. Then sometimes people send me an email and ask if I got it when I didn't. It's not very dependable. Even though I'm not a fan of Hotmail, at least all my mail went thru...

I go to google.com, and I get search. That's it. The only graphic on the page is Google's logo. On Yahoo.com, the biggest image is a flash advertisment.

Google > Yahoo

Yahoo also owns Altavista, the worst search engine ever.

Yahoo can hardly open email attachments, and attaches them even more poorly than it opens them.

Yahoo is filled with nothing but garbage on the front page, all the time.

Google has a customizable news thing that is small, compact, and easy to use.

Yahoo cares about nothing but money.

Google cares about the people.

Not to mention the fact that google has over two and a half gigs of space, forwarding, and POP access.
