most BBS have dried up or migrated to IP addressing. Most exist as web sites, forums, online communities, etc... Check out zapperlinks oldskool bbs at : "telnet moomoosecurity.com" .
BBS still exist, but they are few and far between and most are not pulicized. Wardialing may tell.

Also thanks to the internet you can find lists of dialins if you look for "bbs lists" and the like through google... I found that my area used to ahve allot of them, then they died due to no one careing..
