How does one become a member of DDP. Is there a benefit to becoming a member. Do I get more privleges or something. Really, I was just wondering how DDP members become worthy to join the group. Just something I was curious about.

It's pretty much like any other crew I would assume. I am not a member, so I am assuming here. You have to do something to get noticed.

Perhaps code a few killer applications. Perhaps take on a couple massive projects for the DDP. You would undoubtedly have to be at the expert stage in something whether it be Programming (multiple languages), telephony etc...

You get the idea. It isn't like joining Sam's Club, it's more a group of friends.

well i've been around the forums for a while and im not a member yet ether. But i honestly dont contribute as much as the rest and i went away for a few months. I think if you have worthy posts and you post often of actual important stuff, as well as try to stay away from the off-topic section then you should have a chance. Yet being a member of DDP is nothing special, i think you might get some special modding privledges thats about it other than that its a title. Like i got a title already only because i am totally 1337 at a55 k1553r'ing and no one beats me at that! =D

Don't you also get bragging rights, and a DDP member for your sig file. Now we all now how much Stank loves those.

I also think that being in the DDP is a greater honor then being a doctor, because Stank doesn't call people doctor "unless ther are operating" on him, but he reffers tol the DDP members with DDP

But no for real i am sure no matter weather you can say you are "in" the DDP or not. Even everyone thats sticking around the forums/irc i consider all the people to be in the DDP if you get me. As everyone tends to help out everyone else. So i wouldnt get boged down with weather or not you have DDP by your name or PHD coz at the end of the day it is all one big dawg pound

You get a DDP membership package in the mail. It inlcudes your extra sepcial DDP decoder ring and a DDP charm bracelet with your handle on it. The newest members received DDP rub on tattoos.

I like your reply the best. I do have skills that I can contribute, and I guess in the end it is all "one big dog pound". I just see that there are some other groups that have very few members that have some cool projects, and I would really just like to be a part of some fantastic project. That was really the whole basis of asking the question. I would really like to be more involved with projects and I wasn't sure if I had to be a member or not. In general, I think it would fun to hang out with the crew of DDP even though everyone is separated by geographical locations for the most part. Anyways, this reply is probably getting a little boring, but I am not desparate. I just miss being part of projects like I used to have to do while I was in college. Thanks to everyone who gave their two cents, even the ones who poked fun at stank.
