no..possibly is a transfer-connect number that will only work if you came thru a certin trunk group. So when you dial an extension off a certin IVR and it would route to another line that is serviced by a different carrier then the one you originally dialed. So it uses these numbers to get sounds for IVRs?

OK this is what I could SE lastnight about the mystery number
800-513-;;;; <- masked
Seviced by AT&T
Company purchasing Service =
West Interactive
9910 Maple St 402-571-4579
Omaha,NE 68124
11650 Miracle Hills Dr 402-963-1200
Omaha,NE 68154
The RRN# M016623441853
THe DNIS being Pulsed over by AT&T = 1853
West Interactive is a Telemarketing Company.
They do have a "NOC" if you call one of the above contact numbers and ask for the Helpdesk. However they don't have any idea what the Number is and refered to the Telecom Group.I'm geussing in the 402-963-1xxx range will be intresting numbers such as the NOC and whatever else.
But other than that I'm done,I have alot of other stuff I have to do so I'm geussing its just an VRU of some sort.Don't know what it does.If anyone else finds out more with the info I provided then let me know.I will be consulting with someone else to see what they think as well.Peace

;heh
Ok I think I got something to make since of this now.
This company does alot of work for AT&T on different IVR shit.Even though AT&T has the Anoucement Group. What I think this is,is a transfer-connect number.Like Example when you cal a IVR and it says Press 1 for this and 2 for that well AT&T brings them on that platform but will transfer to another carrier(eg:MCI)So if you come in the correct trunk group (such as the IVR its for) and choose that option it will transfer-connect the number to its destination.I know its kinda confusing but Ill try to get a better way to explain it.PEace.
Ok, greyarea, I tried to PM you about this but it looks like your inbox is full.
I know a programmer who works for West Interactive. Next time I see her I might be able to tactfully ask her what this number is, but she'll probably want to know what makes me think it has anything to do with her company. So, if you feel like you can say so, where did you get this information? How do you know this number is owned by West Interactive?

EDIT: The digits that are read off before '711' are usually random. They can be either two digits, or 900 plus two digits.
