well i have gotten back into irc to get the newer stuff for the hub to share and just this last weekend i noticed that when both are running my box kindda lags a lot. so much that the hub is brought down and my bandwidth is eaten up. i've come to a decision that i can only run one or the other and still have the hub up. but i wanted to ask is what might cause this to happen
the box its running on is a 475 mhz w/ 256 ram

so i have enough ram, but what could it be.

actually, that might not be enough RAM. If you are upping/downloading several files at once, they buffer a certain amount of data in memory. Regardless of the small consumption of the programs themselves.

What kind of memory does it take? I may have some DIMMs laying around to donate.

i have a 64 meg and a 128 meg in there right now plus the 64 from the begining.
