I took an online Personality disorder test

I took an online personality disorder test (that I saw linked from 4chan of all places). We all know how accurate these things are...but seriously, there probably is a bit of truth to some of it. Obviously only a real psychiatrist can diagnose you truly.

Disorder | Rating

Paranoid: Low
Schizoid: Low
Schizotypal: Moderate
Antisocial: Low
Borderline: Low
Histrionic: Low
Narcissistic: Low
Avoidant: Low
Dependent: Low
Obsessive-Compulsive: Moderate

I don't know how I feel about these results. OCD..I can see that due to my eating habits and my tendency to be stubborn about how things should be done and done right (I admit that "right" can be subjective though). The schitzotypal thing is a bit misleading since it deals with paranoia. I am not paranoid that the world is out to get me (believe me, I witnessed someone like that first hand) but I to tend to believe that our government hides things from us as do big corporations. Because of those conspiracy theory beliefs, I guess that classifies me as moderate.

eh, your probably fine, alot of people if not most people that "work" on things have atleast some mild ocd, you know your mechanics, your programmers, your electritions. sure its programmed in during the classess/job but its still their. i would say if answered correctly its still far off, atleast for me as there is never enough questions for this type of quiz,
e.g. "do you feel uneasy in social situations?"
as with questions like this it has to be thought about, like if i just walked into a random class room at the highschool i would feel uneasy inless there was some weirdo. and anytime its thought about the answer is always decieved. atleast i got a laugh from the reply.

Paranoid: Moderate
Schizoid: Very High
Schizotypal: High
Antisocial: High
Borderline: Moderate
Histrionic: Low
Narcissistic: High
Avoidant: High
Dependent: High
Obsessive-Compulsive: High

Anyway, here's how mine came out (I just had to see):

Paranoid: Low
Schizoid: Low
Schizotypal: Low
Antisocial: Low
Borderline: Low
Histrionic: Low
Narcissistic: Low
Avoidant: Low
Dependent: Low
Obsessive-Compulsive: Low

A lot of the questions made me laugh because I thought, "How can anyone really answer this?! It's not either black or white, but has a lot of grey in it - it just *depends*". Despite this thinking on my part, I answered it anyway.

A lot of the questions were just dumb which makes me wonder why they bothered to put that thing up. One example was the question on being obsessive-compulsive to which I thought, "How many will actually answer honestly about being obsessive-compulsive? Some wouldn't even see it as 'obsessive-compulsive' and would answer NO" I had similar thoughts on many of the other as well.

This kind of reminds me of a thought I pondered recently about poll taking. If someone took a poll to see how many people said they had friends, it would come out inaccurate because it's a matter of definition - what one person calls a friend another person wouldn't. An example is someone I know who says a friend is someone they just have sex with - a fuck buddy is what I call it but he calls it "being a friend" and would answer a poll question like this by saying "Yes, I have a friend".

That personality questionnaire has the same problem with it. Like if you dress provocatively to get attention. That's a matter of definition - I mean, there are people who find totally nudity not provocative at all. Also it depends on where you're from - a person from the middle east consider it "provocative" for a woman to show her HAIR. Much of those questions depend on plain definition and since it does, many people with actual disorders will pass it with flying colors. It says it can't used for diagnosis but as "insight about a potential disorder" - insight about a potential disorder? I don't think so!

I'd say it's quite representative of myself, to be honest. The most obvious is obsessive-compulsive... I often can't resist to place objects so that they are all nicely arranged with right angles. Sometimes people like to just move them to annoy me, to see how long I'll be able to resist putting them back "in order".
